Mumbai: Bharti Telesoft, the software venture of Bharti Enterprises, has achieved significant customer wins in Sri Lanka and India for its innovative solutions that result in dramatic cost savings and convenience benefits to roaming cellular subscribers.

These solutions are based on the world-class stacks developed by Hughes Software Systems (HSS) specialists in convergent networks and India’s leading communications software company. This solution provides international visitors the freedom to roam across Bharti’s cellular networks in India even if these regional networks do not have roaming agreements with international service providers.

This solution enables calls to be made to a cellular subscriber who is roaming (in the same area as the caller) at the cost of a local call. HSS will participate in the Intel IXA Developer programme by offering its broadband, and wireless next generation portfolio of service offerings for seamless integration, interoperability and custom development on the Intel IXP development platforms.

As part of the Intel Developer Network, HSS will invest in acquiring skills for building solutions for customers choosing to deploy their communication services on Intel’s new control plane processor. HSS will participate as a professional services vendor in the Intel IXA developer network, enabling customers to build and maintain robust and innovative products and services, which use a combination of Intel platforms and custom applications built on them.

HSS professional services portfolio includes product development services, testing, maintenance and building of custom applications. HSS participation will provide customers the ability to instantly increase the power of their engineering team by augmenting their existing staff with network development engineers who bring in HSS communication domain strengths coupled with Intel IXA experience.
