Singapore Airlines expands services across the region, including India

Singapore Airlines Ltd. (SIA) said it will increase flight frequencies between Singapore and regional and southwest Pacific destinations starting April.

Starting 30 March services to Chennai, in the southern part of India, have increased to 11 times a week, from the earlier10. It now has 9 frequencies a week to New Delhi, up from from one a day. It has  plans to make this a twice-daily service from later on in the year.

In Australia, weekly flight frequencies to Brisbane will now go up to 17, from the earlier 14, and will increase further to 21 flights from 2 July.

From 8 April, frequencies to Sydney will go up to 24 every week, an increase of three, and will rise further to 28, that is four times a day, from 1 June. Flights to Auckland have also increased to 14, up from 11, on 30 March.

SIA now operates 21 times weekly to Vietnam's capital city, Ho Chi Minh, with the addition of four flights on 30 March.

Also from this date, flights to Shanghai were increased to 35 from 28.

Bangkok now gets two additional flights from May 18, taking frequencies to 41, while Taiwanese capital, Taipei, gets an increase of three flights every week, starting 4 October, taking the number to 17, which is three up from 14.

Starting 18 May, frequency on the Singapore-Dubai route becomes twice daily - up from the existing 10 a week.
