SQL Star International to be Oracle's CRM and data warehousing partner in India

SQL Star International, a Hyderabad-based information technology company, today announced its alliance with Oracle Software India limited to become one of Oracle's partner in India for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Data Warehousing. SQL Star has integrated operations in ERP Consulting, Software Development and Education and is also an Oracle implementation partner.

The partnership with Oracle is yet another step in the progression of SQL Star as an end-to-end solution provider with rights to sub-license the Oracle Applications Products Suite and also provide implementation services to customers. The alliance will also provide SQL Star, rights to sub license the Oracle Customer Relationship Management Product Suite. This alliance will give SQL the ability to extend their customer base to the services sector for their large-scale customer interaction and data warehousing requirements.

Speaking on the strategic alliance with Oracle, Mr. Ramlal, Vice President - Consulting and Education, said " With the explosion of the ERP market estimated to be upwards of Rs. 800 crores by Year 2000, SQL Star is well positioned to tap the ERP consulting market. This partnership with Oracle would cover the entire gamut of pre-sales, sales and post sales implementation to customers on Oracle products."

According to Arunava Dutta, Deputy General Manager - Alliances, Oracle India, "CRM is about changing the focus of an organisation - from internal processes to becoming customer-centric. SQL Star is already an Implementation partner for Oracle, and will now be able to pass on the CRM and Datawarehousing best practices to the customer."

SQL Star has been an implementation partner for Oracle for nearly a year and will leverage this expertise in maximizing the opportunities thrown up by the burgeoning SME sector. As part of its recent expansion plans, SQL has established an independent ERP Division.
