Mumbai: Suzlon Energy is planning to export its products to 40 countries, including South Africa, South Korea and parts of emerging Europe.

Suzlon, the world''s fifth largest wind turbine manufacturer, currently sells its products in 14 countries, including Germany, the US, China, South Korea, Italy, Belgium, Australia, Portugal, Canada and Greece.

"We have presence in 14 countries which would be raised to 40 in the next five years. We are setting up four manufacturing facilities which will specifically cater to exports," Tulsi Tanti, chairman and managing director of Suzlon Energy, said.

He said the company has lined up investments of Rs2,600 crore over next two years for raising its global manufacturing capacity to 5700 MW.

Suzlon has an order book of $4.1 billion to be executed by 2008-09.

Tanti also said the company has no immediate plans for a public issue. "We will do it as and when needed," he said.

Suzlon saw its business grow at 76 per cent in the first half against the normal growth of 40 per cent in first half and 60 per cent in the second half, Tanti said.

Tanti now wants his company to break into new geographies like Australia, China, South Africa, New Zealand and Europe to cushion the impact of a rising rupee. And to top it all he is gearing up for his next big move-to list Hansen Technologies, a company that he acquired last year on the London Stock Exchange.
