Suzlon to supply wind turbines to Chinese power company

Renewable energy major Suzlon Energy Ltd will supply 48.3 MW wind turbines to a Chinese power producer, the company said today.

The Chinese order includes 23 sets of S88 turbines with a rated power of 2.1MW, which will be delivered in the current financial year to a wind farm in Inner Mongolia.

The company has, however, not disclosed the deal's financial details.

On a consolidated basis, Suzlon Energy posted a net loss of Rs188.47 crore in Q4 (January-March 2010) as against a net profit of Rs314.89 crore in Q4 FY09. Net sales were down 33.3 per cent at Rs6,083.61 crore in Q4 FY10 over Q4 FY09.
