Tata Communications launches 'Internet Clean Pipe' — a comprehensive secure internet solution

Tata Communications has launched its 'Internet Clean Pipe Solution' for the small and medium business segments. The solution ensures clean internet traffic by eliminating malware, spam and virus without the customer having to incur capital expenditure on security hardware.

The solution is the first of its kind by an internet service provider (ISP) in India. The initial demand from customers for the solution has been very encouraging and sales for this solution are expected to ramp up rapidly, said a press release from the company.

Internet traffic contains data flows and traffic like spyware, malware, worms, trojans, and virus, which besides compromising the data security of an organisation, also chokes the available bandwidth.

Tata Communications' Internet Clean Pipe solution utilises a network based all-in one Fortinet Unified Threat Management device which includes anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-spyware, intrusion prevention and web filtering capabilities, under which the internet traffic is checked for vulnerabilities before it enters the customer's premise, thereby ensuring optimal utilisation of bandwidth purchased without any unwanted traffic This also eliminates the need for investment in security hardware and costs associated with maintenance and management.

Available 24x7x365, the Internet Clean Pipe solution provides users with multiple bandwidth speed options backed by service-level agreements.
