Tata Motors’ global sales up 6 per cent in June

Group sales of Tata Motors, including those of its premium brands Jaguar Land Rover, rose 6 per cent year-on-year in June, helped by a 39 per cent jump in global sales of Jaguar Land Rover.

Tata Motors Group global sales, including Jaguar Land Rover, were 94,055 units in June 2012, up six per cent from June 2011 sales.

Cumulative sales so far for the fiscal (April-June 2012-13) rose to 2,76,524 units, up seven per cent, compared to the corresponding period in 2011-12.

Global sales of Jaguar Land Rover stood at 28,215 units, up 39 per cent. However, Jaguar sales for the month were lower by five per cent at 3,829 vehicles.

Among commercial vehicles, sales of the Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range totalled 47,896, a growth of six per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal were, however, flat at 1,30,932 units.

Global sales of all passenger vehicles were up seven per cent at 46,159 in June. Cumulative sales for the fiscal rose 12 per cent year-on-year to 145,592 units.
