Tata Motors Group global dealer sales decline in September 2013

The Tata Motors Group global wholesales (sales to dealer networks), including Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), fell nearly 16 per cent to 87,316 vehicles in September. The company sold 103,656 vehicles during the same month a year ago.

The global wholesales of all commercial vehicles – Tata, Tata Daewoo and Tata Hispano Carrocera range – stood at 38,049 units, compared with 54,761 units sold during the same month a year ago. Cumulative commercial vehicles wholesales for the fiscal stood at 237,207 units, the company said in a statement.

Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in September 2013 were 49,267 units. Cumulative passenger vehicles wholesales for the fiscal were 266,680 vehicles.

Global wholesales of Tata passenger vehicles in September 2013 were 13,393 units. Cumulative wholesales for the fiscal were 74, 129 vehicles.

Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for the month were 35,874 vehicles (26,461 vehicles in September 2012).

Jaguar wholesales for the month were 6,438 (2,808) vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 37,411 (21,606) vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 29,436 (23,653) units and cumulative wholesales were 155,140 (139,288) vehicles.

The cumulative wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal were 192,551 (160,894) vehicles.
