Tata Motors- INCAT acquire CEDIS Mechanical Engineering GmbH

Tata Motors Ltd - INCAT have acquired of CEDIS Mechanical Engineering GmbH, a Stuttgart-based provider of automotive engineering and design services to some of the world's leading manufacturers.

INCAT International Plc, a UK-based engineering and design services company providing product lifecycle management products and services to manufacturers and their suppliers in the global automotive, aerospace and engineering markets was acquired by Tata Technologies, through its subsidiary, Tata Technologies Inc, USA, in 2005.

"This expands the presence of INCAT in Germany, and in Europe overall, with proven competencies in engineering and design, as well as in CATIA support," said Wolfgang Zoefgen, managing director, INCAT's European Operations. "Further, this acquisition, as well as the company's 2005 acquisition of Rand France S A - diversifies the INCAT client base and positions INCAT to widen its PLM consulting and support services offerings".

The CEDIS executive team, Markus Schleer and Ralf Weber, will join the INCAT European operations in senior management positions. Schleer will continue as managing director, CEDIS, and will become head of design services, INCAT GmbH. Weber will join the INCAT GmbH management team.

Top CEDIS clients include Johnson Controls, DaimlerChrysler, MAHLE, Modine Europe, Eberspacher, ORIS, Lear Corporation, Mercedes AMG, Alpine Electronics, BOS and others.
