Tata Motors launches new Tata Xenon Yodha range of pick-ups

Tata Motors today introduced an improved version of its pick-up vehicle the Tata Xenon Yodha, which the company claims, will give high levels of performance at the lowest operating cost.

The first product of the year, the new Tata Xenon Yodha, Tata Motors claims new benchmarks in the pick-up segment for the rugged, comfortable, safe and stylish work horse, characterised by everyday practicality, high levels of performance and lowest operating cost.

Available in single cab and double cab versions, at a competitive price starting at Rs6.05 lakh (Single Cab – BSIII) and Rs6.19 (Single Cab – BSIV), the vehicle is available in both 4×4 and 4×2 drives.

''The new Tata Xenon Yodha has the best ground clearance of 210 mm, courtesy inclusion of a Tubular front axle, which also ensures best manoeuvrability both on and off road. Powered by a 3.0-litre engine, the Xenon Yodha is characterised by power. With an output of 53.7 kW (72 HP) in BSIII and 63.4 kW (85 HP) in BS IV, the engine delivers high torque of 223Nm in BS III & 250 Nm in BS IV.

''For better mileage, the smart pick-up has a reliable and rugged gear box, for a flat curve at 1600-2200 r/min. This aids in in better pick up in loaded condition, also ensuring lesser gear shifts, '' says a company release.

Tata Xenon Yodha, with a rated payload of up to 1,250 kg, can be used for a wide range of commercial applications, with best-in-class engine and drivelines and maximum loading area, according to Tata Motors.

The contemporary tall SUV styled work horse, comes with bigger 16-inch radial tyres, best suited for all loading and terrain requirements.

The vehicle also comes with a first-in-segment customized free AMC package of 3 years/ 1 lakh km and warranty of 3 years or 3,00,000 km (whichever is earlier)

 Powered by a common rail diesel engine, the new Tata Xenon Yodha delivers high power and torque, for varied business requirements, for ease of day-to-day operations.

Tat Motors has roped in film star Akshay Kumar to help in the marketing campaign, starting with the Xenon Yodha. He will be actively involved in a host of innovative marketing and customer experience initiatives, to be rolled out by Tata Motors commercial vehicles division, says the company.
