Pune: Amid stiff global competition, the Pune-based boiler technology leader Thermax Babcock and Wilcox (TBW) has successfully bagged an order from JGC Corporation, Yokohama, Japan, for supplying 1x105 TPH coal fired boiler for the 8.9mw captive power plant to be installed in the nickel HPP project of Coral Bay Nickel Corporation in the Philippines.

This is the third order from JGC for TBW, the previous two being for supplying boilers to JGC’s projects in Turkmenistan and Thailand.

Says TBW group general manager K K Diwakar: “It is a matter of great pride for us to have bagged this third order from JGC. This order reflects reinforcement of JGC’s confidence in TBW in the face of intense global competition.”

TBW, which set up operations in India in 1989, manufactures and installs a vast range of steam generation systems for captive and co-generation power plants. TBW products are also leading brands worldwide in the continuous process industries such as chemicals, fertilisers, petroleum and other process plants.
