TCS bags two-year Singapore government deal

Tata Consultancy Services today said that it has been chosen by Singapore's People's Association, a statutory board under the ministry of community development, youth and sports, to provide annual application management services (AMS) for two years in a multi-million dollar deal.

The People's Association is statutory board promoting racial harmony and social cohesion, nurturing leadership, providing community services and outward bound training and facilitating communications between the Government and the people.

Under the agreement, TCS will develop and maintain People's Associations' business and citizen-centric applications including mission critical applications, involving consolidating multiple vendor environments for reduced maintenance costs and simplified system administration.
The Singapore public sector is one of the focus areas for TCS in Asia Pacific.

The IT firm has a strong track record in engagements locally with national icons such as Singapore International Airlines, sovereign wealth fund Temasek Holdings, GIC, DBS Bank, among otrhers.

It has also had a strong base of clients in Singapore for over 20 years,  and has provided services to Citibank Asia Pacific, General Electric, Singapore Exchange, Standard Chartered Bank, ING Bank and others.

Recently TCS took live the TCS B?NCS Corporate Actions business application for the Singapore Government Investment Corporation.
