TCS ranked top service provider in the Nordic Region

Tata Consultancy Services was today ranked as the number one IT company in the Nordic region on major key performance indicators surveyed in EquaTerra's Nordics Service Provider Performance Study 2010.

The report is an annual outsourcing vendor performance survey completed by CIOs and CXOs representing the top 220 Nordic companies in terms of their IT spending and ranked 16 leading service providers in the region based on client feedback.

EquaTerra Nordics Service Provider Performance Study 2010 surveyed trends and satisfaction based on perception from end-user clients. The report is focused on top 300 IT spending companies in all sectors. In order to be ranked in the report, service providers must meet two criteria: minimum eight client evaluations and the client base evaluated per service provider must represent 2/3 annual outsourcing revenue of the service provider.Most participants are CIO, CFO, CXO or immediate direct reports with decision making responsibility.

''This report is one of the most comprehensive independent surveys of IT decision makers in the Nordic region and therefore of high relevance to the market," said Amit Bajaj, director of the Nordic and Baltic region at TCS.

Tata Consultancy Services had the highest industry score on all major key performance indicators including customer aatisfaction, quality, flexibility, innovation, risk and transition management, attaining a general satisfaction rate of 85 per cent -.a significant 11 percentage points ahead of its number two rival and way above  the average industry level satisfaction of 66 per cent.

In terms of meeting expectations on promised delivery TCS ranked first again at 83 per cent, versus the second ranked at 71 per cent and the industry average of 64 per cent, indicating the company's delivery of ''certainty'' of results to its clients.
