TDSAT directs Zee to provide signals to Tata Sky

New Delhi: Zee will have to provide its signals to rival Tata Sky, which recently launched its direct-to-home (DTH) services in competition to Zee-turner's Dish TV.

This follows broadcast regulator TDSAT's directive to Zee-Turner to provide its signals to the 80:20 Tata-Star venture.

Tata Sky had petitioned the regulator to direct Zee-Turner to provide its signals and to fix subscription rates somewhere in between Rs150 demanded by Zee and the Rs118 proposed by Tata Sky.

Justice Arun Kumar, chairman, TDSAT, admitted Tata Sky's petition and ruled "Respondent (Zee-Turner) would supply all its 32 channels from all bouquet to the petitioner (Tata Sky) within 48 hours."
