Chennai: The city-based Royal Enfield Motors (www.royalenfield.com) and lubricants major Tide Water Oil Company (India), makers of Veedol brand engine oil, have joined hands to launch Veedol Royal Enfield Genuine Oil.

Says Tide Water Oil general manager (southern region) R B Ananth: "The tie-up with Royal Enfield is firming up of our relationship with the company. The new product developed after considerable research is suitable for Royal Enfields Bullet 350, Electra, Bullet 500 and Lightning 535 models.

The co-branding exercise will be complimented with technical, service and marketing support, ensuring that the customer gets a dependable product and a good service, he says. "But, at present, I cannot quantify the probable additional volumes the company will generate due to the tie-up."

Says Royal Enfield CEO Siddhartha Lal: "Our endeavour will be to consistently enhance customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. The launch of genuine oil is one such initiative in this direction."

The Veedol Royal Enfield Genuine Oil will be available in 2.5-litre and 20-litre packs at an MRP of Rs 270 and Rs 1,900 respectively.
