Mumbai: Two-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company has strengthened its economy segment with the launch of a new 100cc motorcycle, 'StaR Sport'.

TVS StaR Sport will be retailed alongside the TVS StaR City and TVS StaR basic models but targeted at urban motorcycle customers who prefer a sleek and compact style. The bike delivers a 4-stroke performance with excellent mileage and manoeuvreability to tackle busy city traffic with ease.

It has a well-sculpted petrol tank, continuous side panels culminating into a flush type tail lamp unit, a freshly updated instrument panel, alloy wheels and position lamps, for the first time in this price segment to complement the sporty look of the bike.

In terms of the style and ergonomics StaR Sport possesses a different character compared to StaR City or the base model StaR, but retains "the same proven engine and the toughness for which the current line of the StaR brand stands for".

The TVS StaR Sport will come in two versions — a base version with alloy wheels in two colours and a deluxe version with alloy wheels, fuel gauge, chrome graphics and will be available in three colours – Silver, Black and Blue. Bothe versions are priced under Rs35,000, with a transferable 5-year warranty scheme.
