Twitter releases new Facebook-like profile design for all users

Twitter's new Facebook-like profile design, which was earlier open to only a group of users, has finally been made public.

According to CNET, the design, though radically altered from Twitter's previous profile design, might look familiar as it seemed similar to Facebook's Timeline, especially with the massive photo at the top and key biographical information displayed on the left.

Twitter users also had the option of pinning a selected tweet to the top of their profile page.

Meanwhile, according to the report, tweets with more activity appeared larger as against the rest.

Twitter was also offering a new toolbar that brought quick access to all of the tweets that contained photos and videos, as also single-click access to all of the tweets users had favourited down the years, TechRadar reported.

Further, those adopting the new profiles could choose to view their tweets in one seamless timeline or complete with all of the replies in their interactions.
