Hyderabad: Cordys, a global provider of real-time enterprise solutions, is providing the technology tools to enable Viceroy Homes, a leader in pre-engineered housing that offers high-quality building designs and materials combined with lower cost and reduced onsite construction time, achieve significant continuous improvement goals surrounding Viceroy's ERP system, Baan IV.

The technology key to meeting Viceroy's continuous improvement goals was in the flexible strength of Cordys Business Collaboration Platform (BCP), a comprehensive, open and flexible Enterprise Service Bus environment that allows organisations to easily develop, deploy and manage Web services-based applications.

Cordys BCP allows real-time interaction and integration between Baan IV, the web and other enterprise systems. Initial efforts in Viceroy's project focused on three key areas: 1. Real-time integration of Baan and handheld units; 2. Reducing the number of manual steps required to close production orders; 3. Building an EDI with a major supplier.

Says Viceroy project leader Paul Marrin: "ERP has brought incredible changes to the way we do business and share information, but we are continually looking for improvements in the way information is shared, distributed and managed within our team, with our customers and our suppliers. Cordys BCP and the abilities it offered us with real-time integration and availability of information has improved our inventory control, improved transactions with a key supplier and allows us to plan new projects."

Cordys' projects currently in progress are focused on providing their Baan IV system with web enablement including custom Baan sessions for remote updates and extending complex sales configuration capabilities to customers via the web.
