Xerox to launch 8 new printers in India

New Delhi: In a bid to increase its market share in the printer segment in Indian, Xerox Corporation has announced the launch of a series of new products for the domestic market followed by a global launch, the company said.

Speaking to the media after the launch, Carl Bothner, vice-president and general manager, Xerox Corporation, said, the products will make its debut in India and subsequently make its way in other parts of the world as part of a strategic growth plan of the company, which will also include expansion of offices across India. 

According to a study conducted by the New York-based Access Markets International (AMI) Partners, Inc, small and medium businesses in India are expected to spend $1.3 billion on printers and printing supplies this year, up by 16 per cent over last year.

The new range of printers, the first of its kind to be introduced in the Indian market will comprise eight new mono printers such as cost-effective A4 machines and multi-function printers (MFPs). The products targeted at the fast growing SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) are expected to be priced from Rs17,000 to Rs3.17 lakh.
