AIIEA has also called upon employees in the insurance
sector to hold protest demonstrations throughout the country
on January 9 against the special VRS. According to K.
Venu Gopal, General Secretary,
AIIEA was opposed to the special VRS for Class-I officers
and Class-III and IV employees of, as it would be injurious
to the public sector general insurance companies.
