Bombardier launches its ''next generation'' Learjet

31 Oct 2007

Regional jet and business jet maker Bombardier Inc has launched its next generation Learjet, provisionally named the Learjet NXT, on Tuesday 30 October. The midsized business jet is in the same class as the Gulfstream 150, the Hawker 900XP, Cessna''s Citation Sovereign and Embraer''s yet-to-be-launched MSJ concept jet.

The company says it already has 65 letters of intent for the new plane, and it expects to convert them into firm orders for the new eight-passenger jet, which it said will have a stand-up cabin, a range of 3,000 nautical miles [5,556 km] and travel at a speed of Mach 0.82.
