NSIC Techmart India 2011 showcases low-cost technologies for micro and small enterprises

The National Small Industries Corporation has organised Techmart India 2011 showcasing the strengths and capabilities of micro, small and medium enterprises. Minister for MSME Virbhadra Singh inaugurated the Techmart Pavilion at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi today.

Techmart India offers low-cost technologies for setting up micro and small enterprises covering a range of industries like light engineering, mechanical products, electrical and electronics, institutions, leather products, auto components, information technology, pharmaceuticals, ceramic, machine and machine tools and general products and gives MSME units an opportunity to enhance their marketing efforts and technology transfer.

Techmart India 2011, spread over an area of 5,000 sq m, provides a platform for those associated with the MSME sector and interested in keeping abreast with the latest technological developments in the micro, small and medium enterprises sector.

The pavilion covers the entire range of engineering, manufacturing and allied industries.

More than 200 participants from all over India are participating in this fair including five confirmed participation from South Africa. Thirty foreign delegations form African countries will also be visiting Techmart India 2011.

Techmart India 2011 will project the capabilities and export potential of Indian MSMEs as well as their goods and services while also helping to discover new market opportunities and technologies through organised meetings with potential buyers and suppliers from India and abroad.
