Arvind Mahendru moves to ESPN STAR Sports from India TV Interactive

Arvind Mahendru has quit India TV Interactive as its senior vice president, new media, to join ESPN STAR Sports as director, digital media.

Mahendru joined India TV Interactive in 2008.

In his new assignment, Mahendru will be based in Delhi and report to James Miner, senior vice-president, digital media, ESPN STAR Sports and Sanjay Kailash, executive vice-president, ESPN STAR Sports, India.

Mahendru will be responsible for the mobile, 3G, streaming and website properties of the channel.

After starting his career with GlaxoSmithKline as a management trainee, Mahendru joined STAR TV India as manager operations, followed by a three-year stint with Turner International as director, subscriptions and operations.

He had also worked with Trinity Platco, Times Internet Limited and Bharti Airtel.
