Citi appoints Nalin Nayyar as managing director

Mumbai: The Citi group as part of its growth strategy in India, has appointed  Nalin Nayyar as the  managing director in the bank's Indian investment banking team.

Nayyar, who had previously worked with Citi from 1992 to 2000 will be based in Mumbai and will work closely with local and regional teams to identify local and global opportunities for Citi's Indian clients. He will  report to Pramit Jhaveri, Citi's head of Global Banking in India.

Before joining Citi, Nayyar worked as a Mumbai-based managing director for Lehman Brothers Indian banking team.

After graduating with a BA Economics from Middlebury College Vermont, Nayyar completed his MBA in finance from UCLA.
