Jagjeet Bindra reelected to LyondellBasell board

Jagjeet S Bindra, an energy industry specialist and former president of Chevron global manufacturing, has been reelected to the board of directors of LyondellBasell along with three others.

LyondellBasell, at its annual general meeting in Rotterdam, Netherlands, today announced the election of Jagjeet S Bindra, Jacques Aigrain, Robin W T Buchanan and Robert G Gwin to the company's supervisory board.

Bindra, 63, an energy industry professional with more than 35 years of experience, was with Chevron as its global manufacturing head, with responsibility for 19 refineries worldwide.

A graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Bindra holds a master of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from Saint Mary's college, California.

During his 32-year career at Chevron, Bindra had served as managing director and chief executive officer of Caltex Australia Limited, president of Chevron Pipeline Co, and senior vice president, pipelines, Chevron Overseas Petroleum Inc. He has been a director of Larsen & Toubro Limited and Transfield Services Limited (Australia) since 2009.

Jacques Aigrain was earlier chairman of LCH Clearnet Group Limited, an independent clearinghouse group, and former CEO of reinsurer Swiss Re.
