Publicis Capital has brought on board Lavanya Verma as vice president.

Verma will be based in Delhi and will report to Ashutosh Sawhney, executive vice-president and branch head, Publicis Capital, Delhi.

In her new role, she will look after the Nestle and United Biscuit portfolios.

"The Nestle and United Biscuits relationships are among the stronger ones for Publicis, not just in India, but globally as well. It becomes difficult for us to constantly infuse and refresh these accounts with the best talents available. In Verma, we have found the right pedigree and passion to spearhead the hugely successful brands in their businesses," said Sawhney.

Verma joins Publicis from Ogilvy India, where she was the client servicing director and independent business director. She was with the agency for 12 years.

She started her career with IB&W communications and has worked with Percept Hakuhodo.

Verma has worked with brands like Dabur, Perfetti Van Melle India, Mint and Dupont, Ministry of Tourism, ITDC, Grasim Industries, and Max New York Life among others.
