LT Foods appoints Vivek Chandra as FMCG head

Basmati rice manufacturing company, LT Foods has announced the appointment of Vivek Chandra as FMCG head for its domestic and international business.

Chandra will be based in company's corporate headquarters in Gurgaon and will oversee LT Foods' business operations both in India and abroad. He will also handle marketing operations for LT Foods.

Prior to joining LT Foods, Chandra had an eight year stint with Associated British Foods as president and CEO, South Asia and South ASEAN.

He has worked with companies like Novartis Consumer Health, Philippines; Pennzoil Quaker State India as a MD, India and South Asia; Procter and Gamble India as a customer business development, director, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and Nepal.

Launched in 1965, LT Foods Limited (formerly known as LT Overseas) is a processor and exporter of packaged rice under the flagship brand ''Daawat''. Its portfolio also consists of brands like Royal, Devaaya and Heritage besides brown rice, white rice, FLUFFY rice, parboiled rice and organic rice.

LT Foods has presence in 50 countries across the globe including markets like USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Middle East, South Africa, Mauritius, Australia and New Zealand.
