Manish Dugar appointed global head, Wipro BPO

IT major, Wipro Technologies has elevated Manish Dugar as senior vice president and global head of its BPO arm.

Dugar, who was most recently the chief financial officer (CFO) of Wipro's IT business, will now drive the company's position in the BPO space, an official statement said.

He takes over from Ashutosh Vaidya, who has decided to move outside Wipro to pursue other interests.

In his earlier role as CFO, Dugar led the company's strategic initiatives including growing the Wipro footprint into new markets, enhancing operations and transaction processing for the group.

TK Kurien, CEO, IT business and executive director, Wipro Ltd, said, ''Dugar's wealth of experience makes him an ideal leader for such a vital part of Wipro Technologies."

Meanwhile, Jatin Dalal will take over as the new CFO for Wipro's IT business, and will report to Suresh Senapaty and TK Kurien.
