Nabendu Bhattacharyya, president OgilvyAction India quits

Nabendu Bhattacharyya, president, OgilvyAction India, has quit. He was with the organisation for the last 10 years. Bhattacharyya plans to start his own venture in the OOH sector soon.

In the last decade, he interacted and worked with some of the best talent in advertising, working on some of the best brands and clients to name only a few - Orange / Hutch / Vodafone, Unilever, HSBC, Viacom, Tata Sky amongst many more. 

His last stint was with Mudra, where he was with their outdoor division, Prime Site, before moving on to Ogilvy.

A commerce graduate from Kolkata, Bhattacharyya had started his career with the Selvel Vantage Group in 1993. Later, he moved on to the international domain with Emirates Neon in the Middle East.

Before joining Ogilvy in 1999, he had a short stint with Mudra's Prime Site.

Bhattacharyya began his career with Selvel - Vantage Group, a Delhi-based OOH specialist, in 1993. After five years, he moved on to the international sphere with Emirates Neon in the Middle East.

His was the runner up in the Business Person of the Year 2008 category in The Agency of The Year Awards organised by Media Magazine A'pac'.
