Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Cabs, has announced on his social media X account that his company is working on a new AI project. The cab company is planning to make an AI chat app to compete with AI firms such as OpenAI and Google.

Aggarwal has decided to name his project Krutrim, registered under the name Krutrim SI Designs.

Bhavish Aggarwal also conducted a general survey among his social media followers about the features they wanted in the AI app. Aggarwal has stated that he will integrate the interesting ideas into his product.

Aggarwal also used a unique marketing strategy, claiming to offer a free Ola S1X+ electric scooter as the best idea.

Aggarwal conveyed in another tweet that the AI revolution is unfolding rapidly and is expected to enhance human productivity while expediting scientific and exploratory endeavors. He remarked that humans can now envision liberation from tasks that computers can perform, thereby enabling a genuine expansion of knowledge and creativity. Aggarwal expressed optimism that, aligned with India's distinctive cultural values centered around inquiry and metaphysical exploration, coupled with strides in technology and economy, India has the potential to emerge as a global leader in the future of AI.

Bhavish Aggarwal had an interesting chat with spiritual leader Sadhguru at the INSIGHT 2023 conference. They discussed various fields, including the future of electric vehicles and AI. Aggarwal emphasized that India needed its own AI as most of the popular large language models are trained on non-Indian data. He wanted his AI to be trained in Indian languages.

According to Tofler, a business intelligence site, Krutrim was registered as a company in April 2023 and has two directors, Bhavish Aggarwal and Krishnamurthy Tenneti.
