Sterlite Tech appoints Intel’s Kumud Srinivasan on board

Digital networks company Sterlite Tech, partially owned by Sterlite Industries, has appointed former Intel India president Kumud Srinivasan to its board, effective May 22, 2018.

At present, Srinivasan is vice president and director of non-volatile memory fab manufacturing and automation systems at Intel Corp. She was president for Intel India from 2012 to 2016.
Srinivasan has spent 30 years at Intel in the US, handling multiple global functions such as R&D for technology manufacturing, industrial automation and Internet of Things for manufacturing facilities.

As a non-executive and independent director, Srinivasan will be on Sterlite Tech’s board for a term of five years, from the date of appointment.
Currently based in Portland, USA, Kumud graduated in Economics from Calcutta University. She followed this up with an MLS, School of Information Studies, Syracuse University before pursuing a doctoral programme at the School of Information Studies in University of California, Berkeley.
