Sunil Sahjwani appointed national programming director, Big FM

Reliance Broadcast Network's (RBNL) radio arm has appointed Sunil Sahjwani as national programming director for its radio business, Big 92.7 FM.

Sahjwani joins from the Bennett Coleman Group, where as a chief creativite consultant he was instrumental in the revamp of Zoom. He also offered creative insights to Radio Mirchi.

At Big FM, he will work with Soumen Choudhury, business head, Big 92.7 FM, and be responsible for the programming strategy, execution and sales enablers.

A graduate from the Parsons School of Design, New York, Sahjwani began his career in advertising and worked with agencies like RK Swamy BBDO and Genesis, amongst others.

He was instrumental in launching the music channel, Channel V in India and had a stint with Percept Picture Company as creative director and later CEO, when the company produced  box-office hits including Corporate, Malamal Weekly and Page 3.

Sahjwani is the recipient of several awards including the US Young Achievers, Ad Club, Raapa and Promax awards.
