Air Arabia to offer extra Sharjah-Goa flights in Christmas season

Sharjah-based low-cost carrier, Air Arabia, will operate eight extra flights between Sharjah and Goa, during the approaching holiday season in response to strong passenger demand. The carrier said it will offer additional Sharjah-Goa flights for the Christmas holidays on 17, 23, 24 and 30 December 2009.
Apart from these, the carrier will also operate supplementary flights on the Sharjah-Goa route during the period 4-7 January 2010.
Both the additional and supplementary flights will leave Sharjah International Airport at 2.25 p.m. (local time) and reach Dabolim International Airport in Goa at 7.00 p.m. (local time). The return flight will take off from Goa at 7.45 p.m. (local time) and arrive in Sharjah at 9.40 p.m. (local time).
AK Nizar, chief of the commercial department of Air Arabia, said in a statement that the airline had decided to launch eight additional flights at convenient times for the upcoming holiday season in response to high demand for services to Goa
Currently, Air Arabia operates scheduled round-trip flights between its hub at Sharjah International Airport and Dabolim International Airport in Goa three times a week.
The regular schedule flights between Sharjah and Goa operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing Sharjah at 10.25 pm (local time) to reach Goa at 3:00 a.m. (local time).
