Airport Authority of India pays Rs100 crore dividend to the Government

Airport Authority of IndiaNew Delhi: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has paid interim dividend of Rs100 crore to the Central Government for the current fiscal. AAI chairman K Ramalingam presented the cheque for the amount to civil aviation minister, Praful Patel.

AAI is currently involved with a number of projects aimed at improving airport infrastructure in the country.

The authority is likely to incur capital expenditure of more than Rs1900 crore in modernizing airports and passenger facilities all across the country during the current fiscal.
 
The authority is also undertaking city-side development of 35 non-metro airports.
