Russia unveils a "stealth bomber" UAV
28 Aug 2007
Russia demonstrated a pilot less stealth bomber at the airshow on Zhukovsky air base outside Moscow.
The UAV is called 'Skat', which means 'Stingray'. The Skat project was developed by Russia's MiG corporation.
The pilotless plane has many of the features of the US Air Force's well-known stealth aircraft, including a flattened, swept-back profile and a bubble canopy, despite not having a pilot.
The manufacturers say it is less vulnerable to detection than similar US versions.
