Russian N-Submarine test fires new missile

A Russian nuclear submarine successfully test fired a ballistic missile across Russia from the Pacific Ocean to a testing range on an island in the Barents Sea, a Russian navy representative said on 7 August.
The missile was fired by the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a nuclear submarine commanded by Capt Valery Kravchenko, in the Pacific Ocean.
It came down at the Chizha testing range on the Novaya Zemlya island in the Barents Sea, the spokesperson said. No further details were available.
