This book examines industrial relations in a liberalising, deregulated and global environment through the prism of connectedness. The author reinterprets industrial relations and offers connectedness as an alternative perspective to the more conventional approaches to industrial relations.

By doing so he makes us realize that connectedness has always been an 'implicit' part of industrial relations though buried and forgotten under various issues such as labour market structures, trade union decline, labour law and employment trends as depicted in 'explicit' industrial relations literature.
