Cannes Lions 2011: India bags three metals in Outdoor, bronze in Radio

The third day of Cannes Lions 2011 was a good one for India. Besides bagging its first gold Lion this year courtesy Lodestar, the Indian contingent also won three Lions in the Outdoor category and one in Radio.
Taproot India opened its tally at Cannes 2011 with a silver in the Outdoor Lions category for its entries 'Dalai Lama', 'Nelson Mandela' and 'Hitler' for Audio Book India.
Adding to its metal tally, BBDO India won the bronze Lion for its entries 'Nuclear' and 'Sea level' for travel brand White Collar Hippies. Sorento Healthcare Communications also bagged its first bronze for its 'Osama'/'Bush', 'Batman'/'Joker' for Wockhardt Hospitals.
The Grand Prix in the category was given to Droga5 New York for Decode Jay-Z with Bing.
In the Radio Lions category, McCann Worldgroup emerged as the only Indian winner. The agency won a bronze for its entries 'Terminator' and 'A few good men' for Onida DVD Players.
India's overall tally stood at 11 Lions including one gold and five silver and bronze Lions. So far, Mudra Communications leads the metal count followed by BBDO India, TapRoot India, Lodestar UM and McCann Ericsson.
