Effie Awards tomorrow

The Effie Awards 2008 will be announced tomorrow. Industry experts predict that JWT's Lead India campaign and Ogilvy's Bingo campaign stand a strong chance of being winners.

This year, the Effies had the largest number of entries at 149, out of which 30 shortlisted case studies were presented. Among the 30 shortlisted entries, O&M India ranks the highest with nine shortlisted case studies. JWT is second with eight. Lowe India has six entries, while Rediffusion Y&R and McCann Erickson share the fourth place with two shortlisted entries each. The other agencies that have made it among the shortlisted entries are Mudra Multiplier, Bates 141 and Mindshare India.

Competing with the Lead India and Bongo campaigns, are Idea and Tata Tea's 'Jaago Re' campaign.

'Yahoo Big Idea Chair'is the biggest award to be given away at the Effies 2008.
