O&M India raises the bar for the Indian ad industry again
19 Nov 2008
O&M India achieved a significant standing of 20 in The Gunn Report of 2008. This ranking for O&M India is considered a phenomenal achievement by The Gunn Report, as it has moved up from 45 in 2007.
O&M India is the single Indian agency to make this incredible improvement from 45 to 20. This implies a marked improvement for Ogilvy India on the international award ranking, as it firmly places O&M India among the top 20 agencies in the world.
O&M India's Mumbai and Delhi offices have been awarded a combined score of 20. This is another feather on the cap of the Indian agency as apart from the fact that no other Indian agency has been awarded this ranking; no other Indian agency has earned this achievement for more than one office in its India network.
Piyush Pandey, executive chairman and national creative director, South Asia, said: ''It is particularly heartening and flattering to note that this ranking comes from an independent international body…….reconfirming our place in India, but more than this it confirms our global ranking.''
O&M India has featured previously in The Gunn Report 2003 and 2007. In 2003, the Cancer Patients Aids Awareness (CPAA) 'Secondhand Smoke Kills' campaign ranked among the 50 Most Awarded Print Ads in the world. In 2007, IAPA 'Adoption' campaign was the 12th Most Awarded Campaign in the world.
O&M India has ranked the No1 Agency in the Brand Equity Ad Agency Reckoner and the more recent ACNielsen Agency Track Record. In both surveys, O&M India's performance has been outstanding on most parameters, improving its own benchmark year on year.
