After being successful in the online travel segment, travel portal, Yatra.com, will now enter into the Rs300-crore digital marketing market.

"Though online travel remains our core area of operations, digital marketing will comprise another revenue source for us," said Yatra.com's Marketing Head Nikhil Rungta.

The company is entering the digital marketing space as the industry is growing at 35-40 per cent per annum.

Yatra's portal has around one lakh surfers making it a very strong platform for companies wanting to establish, promote and build their brands.

According to Rungta, major brands in sectors such as telecom, auto, banking and IT have already tied-up with the portal for digital promotion of their brands.

The advantages of online advertising, Rungta said that it was a lot more measurable, cost-effective and customised to the needs of the customer.

"Besides, there is accountability for every single penny spent and also only a minimal spillover. These are the USPs of online advertising and we are highlighting these to attract customers," he said.
