Barista invites patrons for a coffee brewing contest
17 Sep 2010
Barista Lavazza has invited patrons to don the chef's hat and brew their own concoctions through a beverage recipe contest, `Master of the Menu'.
Barista will award the winning entry the 'Master of Menu' title and feature the winning menu across all Barista Lavazza outlets in the country.
The contest, open to all age groups, is being organised in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Eight finalists from each of the three cities will then be chosen for the city finale on 30 September.
The 24 finalists will get a two nights' free stay at The Kikar Lodge, a private forest resort.
Barista will be sending emails to patrons in its customer database to inform customers about the contest. It will also hold in-store promotions and use Facebook as a social networking tool for the event.
Contest entries can be submitted by filling forms at the Lavazza outlets or through emails.
Barista had earlier launched the Barista Lavazza Café Scrabble 2010, in May, which had garnered good response with over 2,000 entries.
Barista Lavazza was established in 2000 by Barista Coffee Company Limited to recreate the ambience and experience of typical Italian neighborhood Espresso Bars in India.
