People Interactive appoints Publicitas Digital as its ad sales agency

People Interactive, the company behind matrimony and social networking sites Shaadi.com and Fropper.com respectively, has appointed Publicitas Digital to handle its ad sales.
AdMagnet Select, the incumbent agency and part of the DGTL Media, will continue to handle the ad sales function in Mumbai and Maharashtra.
Publicitas Digital will help People Interactive rope in more advertisers from Delhi, Karnataka, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Gujarat.
The decision to award the ad sales duty to Publicitas Digital was based on its presence in smaller cities where People Interactive is looking to expand its base for Shaadi.com.
The appointment is also a step to boost its revenues through ad sales.
Publicitas Digital is part of Mediascope Publicitas, a tie-up between Mediascope and Switzerland based Publigroupe.
