ABC News, Yahoo join hands to create digital news content

ABC News and Yahoo Inc are set to evolve closer that they already share as they start creating a digital news juggernaut.
Under the new agreement, ABC would function as the premier news provider to Yahoo and create original content, including an online version of "Good Morning America" specifically for the venture.
"We think we can revolutionise the online digital news landscape," Yahoo executive vice president Ross Levinsohn declared at a news conference at ABC's "Good Morning America" studio in New York.
Ben Sherwood, ABC News president said, "It is a game-changing day for us."
The new deal kicked off yesterday with an interview with president Obama by "Good Morning America" anchor George Stephanopoulos, that was streamed live on both Yahoo's and ABC News' websites
ABC, owned by Walt Disney Co, and Yahoo have been partners of more than a decade and with ABC's greater prominence on Yahoo, ABC's visibility on the web would increase. It comes in behind CNN, MSNBC and Fox News.
