Acer unveils special edition Liquid E Ferrari mobile in India

Acer has announced an exclusive special edition smartphone in India, the new Acer Liquid E Ferrari, aimed at the cognoscenti who seek performance, speed and sophistication, the attributes symbolised by the iconic racing car, Ferrari.
The AcerLiquid E Ferrari hansdset takes inspiration from the Ferrari on several counts including the exclusivity of its features and state of the art techonolgy and to underline the inspiration there is also the 'Scuderia Ferrari' logo sitting right at the back of this beautiful bright redspecial edition handset.
The handset is based on Android 2.1 and comes packed with features including a large 3.5 inch hi-resolution capacitive touch screen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. The handset has a completely customised user interface. It has a 5 pager homepage that is lighted up by the Ferrari wallpaper.
It runs on an under-clocked 768 MHZ Snapdragon processor with a 256 MB RAM and a 5 MP camera.
The connectivity features include Wi-Fi and an Elite Bluetooth Head set which regulates volume automatically with videos, ringtones and images and also cancels echoes.
Speaking about the handset, Gianpiero Morbello, VP, Acer said, ''A Ferrari is not just about speed. It is an expression of beauty, power, excitement, pleasure and natural excellence.''
The model has a high-resolution capacitive screen with four touch sensitive buttons for Home, Search, Back and Menu. At the back it features a 5 mega pixel camera with geo-tagging, ISO options and accelerated auto-focus performance and ''Scuderia Ferrari'' shield, slanted racing-inspired speaker design and Acer logo.
The 5-megapixel autofocus digital camera mounted on the rear with digital zoom can transform into a super-sharp video camera by tapping on the video icon that can record in MPEG-4 and H.263 formats.
The Acer Liquid E Ferrari also has a simple and highly functional power management system for the benefit of power users and offers a convenient, all-in-one place adjusting commonly used settings on the fly.
The model comes with nemoPlayer – a simple-to-use application that allows users to enjoy music, video clips and pictures stored on the phone.
The Acer Liquid E Ferrari has a handy slot for microSD cards and comes with 8GB as standard and that can support up to 16GB. According to experts with that kind of memory readily available users can enjoy almost limitless digital media experience.
The Liquid E Ferrari comes with DataViz Roadsync pre-installed, which allows users to edit and create Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files as well as view Adobe PDF files wherever they may be.
The Liquid E Ferrari also comes installed with Acer Sync, a smart application that allows automatic or manual synchronisation with users' notebook or netbook or notebook. Changes to one trigger changes to all accounts change.
The phone will be available in India in the month of July, however no details of the pricing from the company have been announced yet.
