Adani Power synchronises country's first 660 MW supercritical unit at Mundra

Adani Power Ltd (APL) today announced the synchronisation of its 660 MW power plant in Mundra, Gujarat, completing the first two phases of its 4620 MW super mega power project.
Adani's Mundra project also emerges the country's first supercritical unit to go on stream, making it eligible for carbon credit under the UN environment programme.
The completion of the phase 1 and 2 of the Mundra project takes Adani's total installed capacity to 1980 MW, making it the third largest private sector power producer in the country.
Adani Power Limited (APL), a unit of infrastructure major Adani Enterprises Ltd, is implementing a super mega power project of a total capacity of 4620 MW, including the five units to be set up under Phase 3 and 4 at Mundra, Gujarat.
Phase 3 of the Mundra power project comprises 2 units of 660 MW capacity each. The fifth unit under Phase 3 is also expected to be commissioned this year itself.
Phase 4 of the project consists of three units of 660 MW generation capacity each.
