Airbus to deliver 265 aircraft to China over next three years

Airbus China has said that it will deliver 265 airplanes to China between 2008-10. These will include 75 units in 2008, 90 in 2009, and 100 in 2010.
Airbus made 69 deliveries to the Chinese mainland in 2007.
By the end of January 2008, 393 Airbus planes were in service in China, which accounted for 37 per cent of total airplanes in service.
China has a combined order of 478 aircraft outstanding from Airbus, according to the company.
Meanwhile, the A320 assembly line in Tianjin municipality will assemble its first aircraft this August. Eventually, by 2011, the facility will produce four aircraft a month.
Last year, Airbus delivered 453 new aircraft to customers globally, setting an industry record.
Airbus predicts that China's aviation industry will grow 11.1 per cent annually from 2007 to 2011.
China and India will become the countries with the fastest growing aviation industries in the world.
