Airtel launches 4G services in Ambala

Bharti Airtel on Thursday launched 4G services in Ambala, Haryana, making the GSM operator's eighth circle with the services. The services have been launched with a host of 4G plans on dongles, WiFi customer premise equipment, MiFi and WiFi dongles.
''The much-awaited launch of Airtel 4G services fulfills a huge market requirement and will give customers in Ambala a choice to upgrade to cutting edge 4G technology, the most advanced broadband experience available across the globe today. Over the last few months, we at Airtel have made significant investments in building a robust 4G network here,'' said Manu Sood, Hub CEO – Upper North, Bharti Airtel (India).
In April 2012, Airtel launched first 4G services in Kolkata. The company's services are now available across India including Bengaluru, Pune, Nasik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mangaluru Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Kapurthala, Moga, Bathinda and Patiala.
Further, the company is conducting 4G trials in Hyderabad, Vizag, Chennai and Mumbai.
For Ambala, the services are priced at Rs2,500 for the home Wi-Fi CPEs, which are available across select Airtel retail outlets in Ambala. A special pack of Rs995 has also been introduced for heavy data (CPE) users which will offer 10 GB of 4G data.
Apart from home broadband, 4G on dongles, Mi-Fi and Wi-Fi dongles are also available.
