Amul ranked as No 1 dairy product brand

The Media Magazine published from Hong Kong and Singapore has ranked Amul as the No.1 dairy products brand of Asia-Pacific ahead of Kraft, Dutch Lady, Dumex, Walls, Anchor, Magnolia, Everyday and several other leading brands of the region.
It has also ranked Amul as the 83rd Best Brand in its ranking of the Top 1,000 brands in the Asia-Pacific countries, based on a consumer survey conducted in Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
Last year Amul had the 180th Rank in Asia Pacific this year.
The other Indian brands ranked as per the survey are Kingfisher (No 158), ICICI Bank (No 173), Tata (No 225) and Big Bazaar (No 239) to name a few.
Leading Research Agency TNS interviewed people aged 15-64 years old, with sample sizes per country of 300; apart from China and India, across three and four top-tier cities respectively. Two questions were asked to determine the best brands in each of the 11 major product/service categories.
The questions were pertaining to the best and second best brand that would come to the respondent's mind for a particular product/service category. The definition of best was one the respondent would trust the most or the one that had the best reputation in the product/service category.
