Bajaj Allianz Life offers special life insurance cover for women

Mumbai: Bajaj Allianz Life has introduced MahilaGain, a policy aimed exclusively at women.
While the basic life insurance policy protects the policy also provides protection against health risks specific to women.
Existing policy-holders can enhance their insurance policy by attaching benefits that provide coverage against these ailments. The MahilaGain rider can be attached to Bajaj Allianz Life's existing products like InvestGain, CashGain, UnitGain and UnitGain Plus.
The
benefit payouts are paid upfront in a lump sum, says the
company in a media communiqué.
MahilaGain offers women four benefits:
- Coverage
for 11 critical illnesses through a lump-sum on diagnosis
of the illness. The illnesses cover a first heart attack,
surgery for coronary artery disease, stroke, cancer,
kidney failure, organ transplants, multiple sclerosis,
aorta graft surgery, primary pulmonary arterial hypertension,
Alzheimer's disease and paralysis.
- Reconstructive
breast surgery benefit necessitated by disfigurement
caused by cancer treatment up to 30 per cent of the
sum assured (subject to a maximum of Rs30,000) for one
breast, and 40 per cent of the sum assured, subject
to a maximum of Rs40,000, for both breasts.
- Congenital
disability benefit, which pays a lump-sum in case of
specified congenital disabilities in the child. The
policy provides a cover of up to 50 per cent of the
sum assured (subject to a maximum of Rs2.5lakh) for
two children for downs syndrome, spina bifida, anorectal
atresia, cleft lip and cleft palate, among others.
- Complications of pregnancy benefit, where a lump sum is to 20 per cent of the sum assured (subject to a maximum of Rs25,000) for complications like disseminated intravascular coagulation, ectopic pregnancy, pre-still birth eclampsia, choriocarcinoma and molar pregnancy.
